At the September 28th Taft City Council meeting, a proclamation was passed to recognize Tuesday, October 5th as World Teacher Appreciation Day. Many teachers, counselors and administrators were in attendance. Dr. Garza accepted a bouquet of flowers on behalf of Taft ISD and thanked the council for their support and kind words.
