The counselor presents lessons
in every classroom (PK-5) that
teach skills such as conflict resolution,
bully awareness and prevention, test preparation,
study skills, valuing diversity, character education,
social skills and career exploration.
Short-term individual counseling is
available to students at the request of
parents/guardians, students, and teachers to
meet the needs of all students expressing difficulties
dealing with academic achievement, personal concerns,
normal developmental tasks, etc.
When a structured series of individual counseling sessions is
deemed appropriate, parental permission is requested and parental
reinforcement of concepts introduced in counseling sessions is encouraged.
Small Group Counseling
Group counseling is available to all
students and may be requested by students,
parents/guardians or teachers. Plans are in the
works on small group counseling.
Parental permission letters will be sent home
prior to group participation. More information to come on topics and details.
